Beetle Dioramas by Bug Under Glass

A big part of my insect work involves the personification of insects in our anthropocentric world. Insects are often looked down upon, ignored or squashed without respecting their full story. It is my hope that these beetle dioramas can help break down many insect stereotypes and allow one to have a closer look at these amazing creatures.

Pictured below are a collection of beetle dioramas I have created. Bug Under Glass beetle dioramas have been featured in Apartment Therapy and currently collected by obscure and strange insect enthusiasts.

A limited selection of my insect dioramas are available here:

Are you interested in your very own custom insect diorama? I am able to work with a very limited number of requests a year. Most dioramas start around $250 and depend on time and number of props.

Did you know Rhinocerous beetles used in these beetle dioramas are one of the strongest animals in the world? (pound for pound)
